BCNS is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). To achieve this accreditation, BCNS submits to a rigorous process of internal self-study that includes staff education and a regular inspection and review to verify compliance with the Criteria for High-Quality Early Childhood Programs.

Burr Cooperative Nursery School Accredited by NAEYC

Burr Cooperative Nursery School has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children - the nation's leading organization of early childhood professionals.

We're proud to be accredited by NAEYC, and recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards NAEYC accreditation lets families in our community know that children here are getting the best care and early learning experiences. Burr Cooperative recently marked its 20th anniversary, celebrating its mission to foster children's love for learning and its parent cooperative model in which parents are actively involved in the school community.

More than 8,000 early childhood programs are currently accredited by NAEYC. "In recent years, we've seen a growing number of child care and preschool program earning NAEYC accreditation," said Mark Ginsberg, Ph.D., executive director of NAEYC. "By earning accreditation, Burr Cooperative Nursery School has become a leader in a national effort to raise the quality of early childhood education."
